About the Company
I am the sole owner of a successful, work-from-home Fire Risk Assessment business. The only reason why I am selling now is because I am retiring and moving out of the UK to a warmer climate.
This business is perfect for anyone who wants their own small business or who wants to work from home and be their own boss either on a part-time or full time basis. The work is interesting, professional, and no two assessments work out the same, so you never get bored. It is like being a CSI fire prevention investigator, or at least that is what my friends think my work is like. This type of work is important in keeping employees and the public as safe as possible and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
More than half of my business comes from automatic annual repeat customers. They realise that, without having had a proper fire risk assessment competed, their insurance may not pay them for any damage caused by a fire. This is another great incentive for them to keep their fire risk assessments up to date.
In the UK it is a legal requirement (Regulatory Reform Order 2005) for a fire risk assessment to be carried out on almost all premises where people could be working, eating, sleeping, shopping, being entertained, educated, worshiping, and a whole host of other activities. Most small businesses, places of worship, restaurants, etc. are not aware of this legal requirement.
The reputation of West Fire Risk Assessments has been built on great service at the most reasonable cost possible. Many of my current clients recommend their friends who also have businesses. Because you can live anywhere in England or Wales and still provide this service, it is the perfect work-from-home business for someone who either wants to work part-time or start small and build up to an even larger business. You choose when you wish to schedule appointments.
Most Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) take about one to two hours to perform the assessment itself, with a further hour or two to type (or write) up the report. I do all of the invoicing and report writing using my PC. You are guaranteed to be paid because the customers are made aware that their report (with recommendations on what changes they need to make and when those changes need to be made) will not be sent to them until their payment has cleared my bank account. Some customers pay you in cash at the time of the assessment. Since the disastrous Grenfell fire last year, the business has increased noticeably and will continue to do so with new regulations that will inevitably be brought in soon.
You will be required to attend a one-week training course provided by the local Fire and Rescue Service at a cost of approximately £530. However, there is much more to "the job" than attending the course. I am willing to provide you with full on-the-job training to ensure your continued success, as there are several behind-the-scene practices that go into making this business successful. You will have full access to my customer details, report formats, company logo, printed materials, magnetic car signs, etc.
Enquire today and become your own boss next week.
Kindly contact us for more details.
This is a work-from-home business.
Your competition comes from much higher-priced companies that perform impersonal "cookie-cutter" assessments.
I carefully personalise each report and assist new customers with the tools they need to perform their legal requirements, ensuring their happiness with my service.
There is a great deal of room to expand this business, if you want to do that, because there will soon be new laws put into place requiring even more establishments to comply with these new regulations, along with your current customers.
You will be a sole trader. However, should you later wish to expand and have employees, you may also do that.

Full on-the-job training will be provided, along with full administrative training...everything you need t be successful moving forward.
